Olympic Silver Medallist Shane Rose takes a second victory in the CIC3*

Olympic Silver Medallist and winner of the 2018 CCI2* riding his horse Ultimate Velocity wins the R.M. Williams CIC3* also, finishing on 46.10.  Shane has always been successful in Adelaide, winning the CCI4* in 2004 and 2015.  He isn’t competing in the CCI4* this year, instead focusing on developing his 2 younger horses who are coming through the ranks, and he’s looking forward to Tokyo.

He has identified this weekend’s MM Australian International Three-Day Event as a crucial step in the preparation for the 2020 Tokyo games.

Rose has just recovered from a shoulder injury, but to Rose it was a minor complaint to add to a long list of injuries.

Callum Buczak from Victoria riding Matavia Cheval finished in 2nd place with 49.90 penalties.  He had 2 fences down, but came in under time and he would be very pleased to take 2nd place behind an experienced Olympian.

Victorian professional rider Andrew Cooper – had 4 penalties, riding Oaks Onyx, to take 3rd place finishing on 57.60.
